Charity Raffle

Life can change in an instant and can largely be out of our control. Tim J. was walking home on a cool evening like he has many times before when someone else's decision changed his life. Tim was hit by car and both of his legs were broken as a result. 

For those of you who don't know: Tim is an employee of Seattle Edge, a former member of our local Food Industry and an excellent human being. He supports our local community of makers and chefs and knows how important a quality cutting tool is. Tim was left with the medical bills to deal with and a long road to recovery. 

That's when Tim Brown Knives and I stepped in. We collaborated on a special one-off Honosuke/utility knife in 26c3 high carbon steel. Tim Brown profiled, heat treated (with a gorgeous hamon) and rough ground the blank and sent it to me. I finalized the geometry, finished the blade and handled the knife. This is a very special heirloom piece that will be used and appreciated in anyone's knife roll. The high carbon steel will patina and age over time with use so it will be unique to you and how you cook with it. 

All proceeds will be donated to Tim's Go Fund Me to be put toward his medical expenses. Let's rally around a member of our community and help him strive through this setback.
